Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain (born March 24, 1977) is an American actor and producer. Her main focus is on films with feminist themes. she has been awarded numerous awards which include an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine listed her as one of the 100 most influential persons around the globe in 2012. Chastain started acting from a young age. In 1998, she made her debut on stage as Shakespeare's Juliet. She studied acting at Juilliard School and was then hired to a talent-holding contract with John Wells, a television producer. She was a recurring guest in a variety of television shows, and also took on part in various stage productions. Her film debut came in Jolene (2008) at 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough by releasing six films including The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011) and The Tree of Life (2012). She was nominated for Academy Award nominations as a part of The Help (2011), in which she played an aspirational socialite, as well as Zero Dark Thirty (2012) as a CIA analyst. The science-fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) were more commercially successful. The strong-willed character of Chastain in dramas A Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were also praised. In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she played Tammy Faye Bakker. She received the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222). Chastain is the founder of the production firm Freckle Films, which was created to promote the diversity of filmmaking, and is an investor in the soccer club Angel City FC. She has been vocal about mental issues and gender and racial equality. Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo (fashion executive) is her spouse.
